Moving on.....

Well today things have moved on considerably from when I made my first blog post, two nights ago. I now have my own laptop, which is pretty monumental considering I have been using computers since I was 5 but never actually owned one until yesterday. This is the machine I will be using to communicate with the world from Japan, and I think it will be well worth it. It will also be a great place to store photos and video, and share them with you all. And a very good way of staying in contact.

I also have a bit of sad news to report. We have suffered a tragic death in our immediate family. Tony and Rosy, the beloved family goldfish, passed away while we were away on holiday. These two goldfish had quite a long life, for goldfish. It's strange to think that when those two first came to our house I was still in primary school. Ten years for a goldfish isn't too bad. It's a shame that they won't be around to amuse us with their cheeky fishy antics but nothing lasts forever I suppose. Best of luck in goldfish heaven. (and no we didn't flush them down the loo, they have been given a dignified burial in the vegetable patch.)

Well that's about all for now, except I missed my dental appointment which is a pain in the arse, but any cavities or other terrible dental afflictions will have to wait. I know my uncle wo's a dentist would be horrified to read that :).

Hope everyone is well, whether you're studying, working, resting or travelling, whatever you're doing.

YOU MEAN YOU DIDN'T GIVE THEM A DECENT BURIAL AT SEA?? Forever they shall be haunting your home, their bodies entombed in the death-earth that in life they avoided, and in death have been thoughtlessly plunged into.

Commiserations by the way. Guess who wrote this.

i was a bit surprised that your second post was almost all about your goldfishes!
i also had goldfishes when i was a child. in the morning, i often gazed blankly at the fish tank while eating breakfast. (i could see it from my seat) it took ages to finish my breakfast so my mum changed my seat where i had to sit down with my back against the fish tank :p
anyway, this is my goldfish story!
